My take on the 25.0 version of Adobe Premiere Pro
Adobe Premiere Pro version 25.0 is here and we have some major updates to the interface that I’m excited to share with you, so let’s jump right into it.
My take on the 25.0 version of Adobe Premiere Pro
There have been improvements on both the design but also the functionality and user experience in the 25.0 version of Adobe Premiere Pro.
I’m will go through the design updates first, just because that is the most obvious (and because I love good graphic design).
The first thing I wanna talk about is how much easier it is to create a new project.
Instead of having to import all the footage first, you can now create a project (from a new window with fewer options) first, making that process faster and smoother.
The second update I wanna mention is the new import-button in the project window.
Instead of seeing an empty project window, you will see a button in the middle, making it super easy to just click that and import footage. This is great for beginners who don’t know all the keyboard shortcuts yet.
Overall, I think the interface looks more modern.
It has a more consistent look
Selected icons look the same (with grey background + rounded corners)It has rounded corners inside the timeline
The color theme is updated
Check out the 3 different versions by going to the menu and then selecting Premiere Pro > Settings > Appearance. You can increase interface contrast
with a simple switch
But except these design updates, there are also some interesting updates on the tools and functionality.
For example, you now have…
A “Crop” option inside the “Motion”-property
Now, there is no need to add a crop effect from the “Effects”-window anymore.A new window called “Properties”
Where you can edit the properties for your graphics but also your video clips.“Essential Graphics” is renamed to “Graphics Templates”
“Crop” + “volume-slider” + “speed” inside the “Properties” window
Now you have it all in one place instead of having to go to “Effects” to add the crop effect, click “G” to change the audio, and click “Cmd + R” to change the speed.Keyframes inside the “Properties” window
Another benefit with this new windowThe “More”-button inside the “Properties” window
With this new button, you can get assistance inside the properties panel.
And finally… A brand new tool called…
Direct manipulation
This can be found inside the “Program” window and can be used for “Transform” and “Crop”.
As you notice, there are a bunch of new exciting features. Check it out via the link below if you want the 6-minute walkthrough of these new features.
