Time is running out

I’ve been thinking a lot about how we sometimes wait for the perfect moment to start something big.
We want to "get it right" from the start, we want to think things through, and we want to avoid mistakes by starting too early.

But “waiting for the right moment” is not what will help you reach your goal. Rather the opposite.
In this blogpost I will explain why.

Here’s the truth:

Big changes don’t happen overnight.
It’s the small, consistent actions we take daily that build momentum and create real, lasting impact over time.

Ask any successful person and they will tell you the same.

There is a saying that goes:
"We do not rise to the level of our goals, we fall to the level of our systems."
I've found that to be true in so many aspects of my life.

And the daily progress doesn't have to be big, but it has to be consistent.
And for that, you need systems, routines, and habits.

Whether it’s tweaking one frame in your edit, jotting down a quick idea, or learning a tiny new skill—those little steps compound in ways we can’t always see in the moment.

But trust me, a month or even a year from now, you’ll look back and be amazed at how far those small inputs have taken you.

Always stretch your boundary of skills and knowledge a tiny bit, every day.

And the earlier you start, the smaller the action you can take and still reach your goal. Most people fail to reach their goals, not because they are not capable but simply because they don't work for it long enough. Their effort and motivation don't last for the time required to reach it.

Often, that happens because your actions are fueled by motivation and not systems.
Once motivation drops, you have no stability left to hold you up.

And remember that, what might feel like a realistic habit in the moment might be hard to maintain in 5-10 years. Your life situation might change and you might no longer have the option to do the things you are doing now.

Therefore, you need to create systems that will help you do the neccessary consistent actions to make progress, both today and tomorrow. Without systems, your goal just becomes a project. But what you really need is for the process towards that goal to become a lifestyle.

Once you fall in love with the process and the outcome becomes a bonus, that’s when you have what it takes to actually achieve that goal. The journey is not an escape, it is the destination.

That's why you need to start today if you want to have a chance to reach that goal before it's too late.
You need to educate yourself but you also need to take action for that knowledge to stick.
It is in the actions and the mistakes you will spot what you truly know and what you need to work on.

And the earlier you start, the better your odds are of reaching that goal.
